Video: Led Zeppelin Unveil “Whole Lotta Love”

by Rob Slater on May 27, 2014

As Led Zeppelin's massive archival release draws near, the band has unveiled the video of the "rough mix" version of "Whole Lotta Love" from Led Zeppelin II featured in the batch of reissues. The video features numerous live performances cut together, some which appear to be very rare and hardly pro-shot.

In a statement, Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page (who is overseeing the project) said, "This version of ‘Whole Lotta Love’ is the mix down from the night that we recorded it, so it doesn’t have any of the overdubs that everyone will be familiar with, because when they hear this they’ll think, ‘Oh yeah, that’s the original’ and all of a sudden they’ll go ‘No, it’s not.'"

Deluxe reissues of Zeppelin's first three studio albums will be available June 3. Pre-orders are currently ongoing. Watch the full video below.
