Bob Weir returned to the musical arena for the first time since he was forced to cancel all remaining tour dates earlier in the summer. Alongside pal Phil Lesh and San Francisco Giants third base coach (and musician) Tim Flannery, the trio sang the National Anthem at Game 3 of the NLCS before the game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It looks like the singing worked, as the Giants jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and beat the Cardinals in extra innings 5-4 to take a 2-1 lead on the series. The winner of that series will more than likely meet the Kansas City Royals, who took a 3-0 lead last night and haven’t lost a game in the playoffs thus far.
