Video: Bob Weir Performs at Tribeca Film Festival

by Rob Slater on April 24, 2014

Photo and videos: Bud Fulginiti

Last night, as a part of Tribeca Film Festival, Bob Weir took the stage following the premiere of his documentary The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir, to perform a few acoustic songs solo and with special guest Steve Kimock. The film chronicles Weir's life from his pre-school expulsion (yes, really) to his rise to the top of the musical mountain and includes quotes from the likes of John Perry Barlow, Blair Jackson, Trixie Garcia and a host of other friends, family members and collaborators.

Check out a smattering of videos below including Weir in his finest evening coat and the appearance from Steve Kimock.

"Black Throated Wind"

"Playin' in the Band" > "Easy to Slip"

"Not Fade Away" > "Shakey Ground"

Still have a buzz from last night-and it has nothing to do with substance abuse-the movie was so good-set after was killer-the memmories of being a fan since my first show in 1977 was a personal trip-Thanks Bobby! I never had such a good time!
