November 17, 2014

Umphrey’s McGee celebrated their 2000th show with a two-night run at the familiar Orpheum Theatre in Madison, WI, a venue the band has frequented since 2006. Before they would get to 2000, they would play show #1999 and offer up takes on classics like “Resolution,” “In the Kitchen,” “Wappy Sprayberry” and “1348,” among others.

The band’s 2000th show featured a career-spanning setlist including bustouts from Umphrey’s lore such as “The Other Side of Things” and “G-Song.” The band also debuted a cover of Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind?” and welcomed out saxophonist Kevin Sinclair for their own “Bad Friday” and Miles Davis’ “It’s About That Time.” Keith Griner shared some images from the shows.
