Tom Petty and Steve Winwood Take MSG (A Gallery)

Fresh off a headlining appearance at Lockn’ Festival, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers brought their exciting, hit-filled show to the famed Madison Square Garden. The 20-song set featured tunes from Petty’s latest Hypnotic Eye as well as plenty of hits from his extensive back catalog including “Mary Jane’s Last Dance,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Free Fallin'” and “Learning to Fly,” which prompted a venue-wide singalong.

Opening for Petty was former Traffic member Steve Winwood who shared an impressive collection of hits as well such as Traffic’s “Low Spark of High Helled Boys,” “Empty Pages” and “Dear Mr. Fantasy” along with Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home.” Bill Kelly shared some images from the show.
