The Replacements headlined a stellar bill at the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium on Friday night. Alongside The Hold Steady and Deer Tick, The Replacements continued their reunion tour with a thrilling show that totaled 29 songs including hits like “Can’t Hardly Wait,” “Bastards of the Young” and “Alex Chilton,” among others. The band also mixed in some covers such as Chuck Berry’s “Maybellene” and a snippet of Jimi Hendrix’s “Third Stone From the Sun” in their own “Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out.” Wes Orshoski shared some images from the show.
