That Time Henrik Lundqvist Played Guitar on _Late Night with Jimmy Fallon_

When it comes to athletes who are musicians (or, depending how you look at it, musicians who are also athletes), New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist ranks among the most accomplished. Not only did he jump on stage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to rip the intro to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with The Roots (as you can watch below), but also plays in a rock band with John McEnroe and previously performed in the Swedish rock band called Box Play.

As he prepares to battle Jonathan Quick and the L.A. Kings for Lord Stanley’s Cup, let us revisit the time King Henrik graced the Late Night stage to celebrate the end of the NHL lockout by visiting unabashed Rangers fan Jimmy Fallon and The Roots (who are probably Flyers fans).

The Stanley Cup Final kicks off tonight in Los Angeles at 8 PM ET on NBC Sports Network.
