Soulive Open Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (A Gallery)
Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas opened to the public last weekend with a trio of shows from Soulive and special guests George Porter Jr., Nigel Hall and The Shady Horns. Opening night included a party for family and friends, which of course began with the ceremonial ribbon cutting to signify the opening of the brand new bowling alley/venue at The Linq. Peter Shapiro, flanked by Charlie Ryan and Blue Ribbon’s Bruce Bromberg, did the honors and Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas was officially open.
Eric Krasno, Neal Evans and Alan Evans then took the stage to perform a few songs as a trio before inviting their special guests to the stage. Collaborations would be frequent throughout the weekend. In the coming months, the likes of Cake, Jane’s Addiction, Elvis Costello and The Roots, Phil Lesh & Friends and many more will baptize the newest addition to the Brooklyn Bowl family.
Soulive shifted east to Brooklyn Bowl for their fifth annual Bowlive run that kicked off last night. The band played their entire debut album Get Down! on opening night and will perform with special guests such as Susan Tedeschi, Talib Kweli, Nigel Hall, The London Souls and many more throughout.
