Jim Dolan and his band JD & The Straight Shot recently recorded some new material with Rodney Crowell. Today we’re streaming “Better Find a Church,” which emerged from those sessions. Dolan tells Relix, “Erin [Slaver] came in with the original concept then we all worked on it,” says Dolan, noting his admiration for the rising Nashville singer/fiddler. “The band is an interesting mix of veteran musicians and young blood — all equally musical and all inspired to play on the upcoming record.” “Better Find a Church” is currently available on iTunes.
