Seth Rogen Confuses Clay Matthews for Dave Matthews in ‘The Night Before’ Promo

Seth Rogen stars in The Night Before along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, a film about a group of friends who celebrate Christmas in style with a Hangover-esque night. The film is due out November 20, but that’s not important here. What is important is this fantastic cross-promotion with ESPN.

Rogen, Gordon-Levitt, Mackie and Jillian Bell get invited to a Christmas party at Michelle Beadle’s apartment along with Jalen Rose, Wayne Gretzky, a slew of mascots and Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews. After the cast members make fools of themselves in front of just about every person at the party, poor Clay Matthews catches the brunt of it, being confused for Chris Hemsworth and Dave Matthews.

“I love your band, I love all your albums. ‘Crash’? That song is dope,” Rogen says to Matthews. “I’m Clay Matthews. Not Chris Hemsworth, not Dave Matthews,” the frustrated linebacker fires back.
