Gregg Allman to Play Intimate Ten-Night Run at New York’s City Winery

October 25, 2016

This November, Gregg Allman will kick off a whopping TEN nights at the intimate confines of New York’s City Winery. Now, long runs are not foreign to Allman, who routinely called the Beacon Theatre home for massive runs with the Allman Brothers, but this one is certainly particularly special as Allman takes over the much smaller winery in New York.

“Can’t wait to get back to the City Winery,” Allman said. “Last year was a blast. Loved the audience connection in that room. It really inspired some great shows for me and the guys, so we wanted to do even more of them this year. I love coming to New York and staying a while. It feels natural. This just might become the new Beacon for me!”

To get ready for the run, revisit some highlights from last year’s run, including Allman and his band ripping through classics like “Midnight Rider,” “Melissa” and “Whipping Post.”
