Phil Lesh Celebrates 75th Birthday (A Gallery)

March 17, 2015

Phil Lesh celebrated his 75th birthday with a special show at the Capitol Theatre involving family and longtime musical collaborators. Joining Lesh on stage was Warren Haynes, John Molo, Rob Barraco and Eric Krasno, who helped the bassist through two sets of Grateful Dead classics and covers. During the opening “Ripple,” Lesh brought his son Levon Lesh (named after late Band drummer Levon Helm) on stage during the tune. He was also presented with a cake before the encore by Capitol Theater owner Peter Shapiro. Dino Perrucci shared some photos from the show.
