Pearl Jam Debut “Comfortably Numb” Cover in Brazil

Pearl Jam’s South American tour continued last night in Porto Alegre, Brazil and the band brought with them a brand new cover of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” which they had never performed before. It’s hard to believe, given the popular nature of the tune in the world covers, but Pearl Jam have indeed never played it before.

Eddie Vedder, however, has joined Roger Waters to play the tune, delivering a stunning version at the 12/12/12 benefit show in New York City. While Waters didn’t join the band last night, it’s still a worthwhile version with Mike McCready pulling out all the stops on guitar.
