Now That the Cubs Are Good, Eddie Vedder Says Pearl Jam Won’t Play in October Anymore

Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest caught up with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder at the friendly confines of Wrigley Field before game four of the NLDS, which finds the Cubs leading the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1 as they look to advance to the NLCS and one step closer to that elusive World Series.

The notoriously coy Vedder cracked a couple of jokes in the spur-the-moment interview, saying that he’s believed the Cubs could’ve made a run like this for years. “It’s been a surprise,” he said. Vedder also mentioned that the band is touring during the World Series, and joked that from now on, they won’t be scheduling any October shows to avoid any conflicts with the World Series.

Watch below. Pearl Jam’s tour kicks off November 4, the same day as game seven of the World Series.
