Bob Weir’s collection of cowboy songs, Blue Mountain, will be released on September 30 and the first official taste of his first LP comprised of entirely new material in 30 years is available to stream below via NPR.
“Only a River” finds Weir in storytelling mode with an acoustic guitar accompanied by The National’s Aaron Dessner and Scott Devendorf as well as Josh Kaufman, Ray Rizzo and Rob Burger.
