Jimmy Fallon closed down Late Night in perfect fashion as he manned the drum kit and vocals on The Band’s “The Weight” as The Muppets played along with him. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Beeker and the famous Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem played and sang along to the singalong of all singalongs. Levon Helm surely watched from above with a smile on his face.

Fallon ended the performance by walking across the hall to Studio 6B, the same studio where Johnny Carson hosted The Tonight Show for thirty years, where the whole crew showered the host with champagne. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon officially kicks off February 17 following the Winter Olympics. Fallon will welcome Will Smith and musical guest U2 on his first show.
