Jerry Garcia Talks The Acid Tests

Not much is known about The Acid Tests in California in the mid-60’s, but this audio clip of a Jerry Garcia interview may shed some light on to what may have happened during those pop-up shows. Jerry recounts the events hilariously, mentioning the band would play for five minutes and then “freak out.” Garcia also remembers how the crowd reacted to being subjected to a more traditional rock and roll band, compared to the ultra-psychadelic music they previously encountered at these events.
