Starting on Tuesday, Immortal Technique featuring Talib Kweli visited Highline Ballroom in New York City as did Funk N’ Bowl, who found themselves at Brooklyn Bowl that evening. The superjam included Marco Benevento as well as members of Lettuce and Snarky Puppy. Wednesday brought Monophonics to Brooklyn Bowl while Tower of Power played Thursday at B.B. King’s in Times Square. As the weekend came, Funky Meters headlined Brooklyn Bowl on Friday and guitar wizard Jeff Beck came to the Capitol Theater on Saturday. The restless week came to a conclusion on Sunday with Roy Hargrove at the Blue Note.
