Here’s the ‘Around the Horn’ Panelists Picking Their Favorite Debut Albums

October 13, 2016

The panelists on Around the Horn, along with host Tony Reali, have some fun before the show shooting the proverbial shit about whatever topic happens to be on the docket that day.

On this day, the team was inspired by Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Auston Matthews, who made his NHL debut with a record-breaking four goals including three in the first period. His second goal was something straight out of a god damn video game. It’s safe to say Matthews had one of the best debuts ever both on paper and on film.

This brought the very music-oriented show onto the topics of best debut albums of all time. Izzy Gutierrez quickly goes with Kanye West’s College Dropout and Alanis Morisette’s self-titled debut. Host Tony Reali taps Beastie Boys’ License to Ill as well as Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction. Woody Paige incorrectly identified Rolling Stones’ debut as 11×5, it was actually 12×5.

Sadly, Umphrey’s McGee’s illustrious debut Greatest Hits Vol. III did not make the cut, although they will have to settle for being the greatest Around the Horn house band of all time. Watch below.
