Here’s My Morning Jacket’s Prince Tribute from Their Tour Opener

Last night at their tour opener in Oklahoma City, My Morning Jacket closed their set with a three-song Prince medley that included “Sign O the Times,” “Raspberry Beret” and a “Purple Rain” finale. Each tune included a wonderfully MMJ-like jam as they transitioned into the following song.
Draped in purple lights, Jim James led the band through the three songs, the last of which culminated in Carl Broemel (who appears to have purchased a new shirt for this tour) taking Prince’s iconic “Purple Rain” solo to play the band off stage.
