Here are All the Cool People Bob Weir Hung Out with at the Super Bowl

All in all, the Super Bowl this year was a stinker. Sloppy offense, pummeling defenses and miscues galore as the Denver Broncos sent Peyton Manning to the glue factory in the finest fashion with a 24-10 win over Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.

One of the best things about this year’s Super Bowl, however, is that it is indeed one of the biggest sporting events on this big rock we call Planet Earth. Athletes, celebrities and the like turn out for a star-studded event, and nobody had more fun this week in San Francisco with that than Bob Weir, who ran into a number of friends along the way. Let’s take a trip through his Twitter account over the last few days as the guitarist documented his Super Bowl week.

It all started early in the week with a visit to new best friend/Dead & Co bandmate John Mayer, who was playing a solo gig at a private party. Weir joined in for “Friend of the Devil.”

It didn’t end there for Bobby, who played a solo show of his own and hung with The Diesel, The Shaqtus, Witness Protection, Wilt Chamberneezy, Shaquille O’Neal. If this isn’t the best image of 2016 thus far, I don’t know what is.

Finally, at the big game at Levi’s Stadium, Weir found some time to snap a picture with Joe Theismann, who made his name by handing off to John Riggins in Super Bowl XVII en route to a victory over Don Shula and the Miami Dolphins.
