HBO Releases New Trailer for Outrageous Jagger/Scorsese Show ‘Vinyl’

November 17, 2015

Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger have teamed up for what looks to be one of the most over-the-top looks at the music industry in the 1970s. Both serve as executive directors to the booze-soaked and coke-fueled sex romp through New York during the time of Bowie and others along with Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), touted as the show’s creator.

Bobby Cannavale stars as Richie, the record executive trying to get his label off the ground (it’s Empire, but with more Bowie and Ramones and Stones, etc.) all the while dealing with his coke habit. The cast is impressive, as Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Andrew Dice Clay (of course), Juno Temple and one of Leo DiCaprio’s cronies in Wolf of Wall Street all make appearances. Mick Jagger’s son also fronts the fictional punk band Nasty Bits in the show.

Watch both trailers below, including the newly released second look at the show. Vinyl premieres February 14 on HBO.
