Footage from Trey Anastasio’s 2005 Appearance with Dave Matthews Band Surfaces

Trey Anastasio’s time on stage with the Dave Matthews Band dates back to the early ’90s when Phish would tour with the budding Charlottesville rockers. While Anastasio has sat in with DMB numerous times, the last came in 2007 when the guitarist returned to the stage in Saratoga Springs for a surprise sit-in on “Lie in Our Graves.”
In 2005, Anastasio popped up numerous times on the band’s Stand Up tour, including this July 13 appearance in Atlanta which just surfaced to YouTube. DMB welcomes Anastasio for jams on “Jimi Thing” and “Louisiana Bayou,” the then-new song.
