Foo Fighters Play Secret Show at Rock & Roll Pizza

Rob Slater on December 10, 2013

Dave Grohl continues to prove he is indeed the hardest working man in rock and roll. On top of producing Zac Brown Band’s new album, sitting in with the group in various places, and recording a new Foo Fighters record, Grohl and the Foo’s played a secret show at Moorpark, CA’s Rock & Roll Pizza last night. With their big Mexico City gig with The National just three days, the rock heavyweights seemingly ran through their setlist, squeezing stadium-sized rock songs into the tiny club. While no new songs were played, the Foo’s managed to dig into some rarely played originals, including “Generator” from 1999’s There Is Nothing Left To Lose as well as staples “All My Life,” “Times Like These,” “Everlong” and a multitude of mega-hits from the band’s nearly twenty year career.

The band who packed London’s Wembley Stadium (twice) is used to playing in small spaces. After all, this is the same group who traveled around and set up shop in people’s garages during their Wasting Light promotional cycle. Watch a replay of “Learn to Fly,” “White Limo” and “Arlandria” from the show last night.
