January 14, 2015

On Friday night, New York City hosted an eclectic night in music as several unique artists took to the stages around town. In Times Square at B.B. King’s, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love played a short showcase to the intimate venue. Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes would follow later on in the evening.

Meanwhile a few blocks away at Highline Ballroom, Sinkane was playing with the set highlighted by the vocals of Amanda Khiri. Highline also played host to the first U.S. performance from Neneh Cherry, whose audience included the legendary David Byrne. Red Baraat played the relatively new Subrosa in the Meatpacking District while Reggie Watts found a home at The Blue Note. Dino Perrucci shared some images from the show.
