Cyril Neville: Royal Southern Brotherhood Studio Blog (Day Two)

February 4, 2016

Royal Southern Brotherhood at Dockside Studios in Maurice, LA.

Cyril Neville and his bandmates, Royal Southern Brotherhood are back at Dockside Studios recording their 5th studio Ruf Records release set for a 2016 roll out. With famed producer, David Z the band has hunkered down to let the artistic juices flow.

Off the beaten path and nestled in a sleepy Louisiana town, this studio gives the artist some peace and quiet to let whatever is in their creative minds come alive. Cyril is no stranger to letting it loose, gettin’ down or groovin’ to a different beat. A beat that talks about love, peace and humanity for all people. He’s seen rocks thrown, love-ins and peaceful marching.

He provides his band with that power to project just that.

Royal Southern Brotherhood has been making progress with their tunes with members Yonrico Scott on drums, guitarists Bart Walker and Tyrone Vaughan and bass player Darrell Phillips.

Here we have both Cyril Neville and Bart Walker sitting down to tell us about their songwriting relationship and why it’s so unique.
