Billy Joel Opens MSG Show with French National Anthem, Jams with Chick Corea

As the tributes continued to pour in for France following the attacks on Paris, Billy Joel added to the list by opening his show last night at Madison Square Garden with the French National Anthem. The song has also been played as a tribute in arenas and stadiums across the U.S., including at NBA and NFL games over the last week.
In addition, Joel also jammed with Chick Corea for a trio of tunes in the middle of his set. Corea sat opposite Joel on the piano for tunes like “Big Man From Mulberry,” “Zanzibar” and “New York State of Mind.” Watch one of those below along with the opening to the show.
