While the rest of the free world was in Austin wrapping up the annual SXSW festival and conference, the Malibu Boys and Girls Club held their annual fundraiser in California and brought together an all-star musical cast for a one-time-only collaboration. Some internet sleuthing revealed that among the performers at the intimate event were Beck, Chris Martin, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Butch Walker and Pink.

Among the performances include a rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” with Beck, Chris Martin, Walker and Chad Smith. Walker and Pink also took the stage for a duet on Patsy Cline’s “After Midnight” and Walker’s own “Here Comes The…” (which also features Pink on Walker’s 2008 Sycamore Meadows) among others. As you’ll see below, Martin also went off the cuff during one performance in honor of Beck, referencing the Morning Phase singer’s recent Album of the Year win at the Grammys.

Walker and Pink actually have a long history together, as Walker produced Pink’s 2006 effort I’m Not Dead, 2008’s Funhouse and 2012’s Truth About Love. They’ve also collaborated on stage numerous times and Pink brought the Georgia singer-songwriter on the road in 2010 to open for her. Walker also appears in Pink’s video for “So What.”
