Apple is Making It Easier to Remove That Pesky U2 Album

Five-star reviews be damned, people are not happy with Apple for inserting the new U2 album Songs of Innocence into their iTunes library without permission. For those of you who may not be up on this situation, essentially Apple bombarded all of your iTunes libraries with the new U2 album to coincide with their iPhone 6 announcement. The company reportedly paid Bono and Friends upwards of $100 million for the rights to pull such a stunt. If you’re reading this for the first time and are calling bullshit, go ahead and check your iTunes library. I’ll wait.

Scary, right?

Naturally, Apple is catching all kinds of flack, with the reactions ranging from outrage to “who is U2?” prompting this new Tumblr page, thus renewing our faith in the Internet. Thankfully, Apple has officially revealed a one-click solution to rid yourself the U2 album.

So, if you want Songs of Innocence out of your life forever, click here and thank me later. Or you can listen to it. No judgment either way.
