I was in a music store today and found a Solar CD "a historical retrospective." What is the latest news regarding the band? Thanx for any info, I'm an old fan from the early days in Seaside Heights, NJ.

How can it be that a band such as Max Creek, which have been together for 33 years are barely ever mentioned in Relix? These guys rip out the best music in the northeast, at an exceptional price as well ($10) per show $20 on NYE. Absolutely the best deal in live music that I know of. Yet Relix seems completely oblivious that the band even exists.Sad.. Besides The Grateful Dead, these are the guys who started it all.I think it's time Relix shows a little appreciation for Max Creek.

Your coverage is righteous. The means you use to pay the overhead, well uhh... may leave a bit to be desired from certain readers. I mean a company that sells classic album covers as coasters? And for $69 you can get an actual album cover. More meat, ditch fluff.
P.S. Hey kids!!! You can still buy plenty of unbelievable/fantastic (not-yet-made-the transition-to-the-current-format) music on vinyl at any number of used record stores. And you can get a handful for 70 bones. P.S.. No disrespect to the readers who have $69 for some kick-ass wall art.

What happened to the free shows? The benefit concerts? What happened to small venues. What happened to playing in Vermont and Maine, the two states you used to love? What are you trying to do? I attended a Medeski Martin and Wood show on Friday, December 5th. I did not attend the Phish show in Boston. The tickets were sold out within 1 hour, I didn't think the lottery would be neccesary. I went on eBay the next week, tickets were $200 for 2. $40 a ticket in advance is bad enough. So, I didn't buy them. Anyways, back to the Medeski Martin and Wood show. First of all, I was blown away, amazing, for everyone who hasn't seen MMW see them. Second, during set break i was talking to the people around me, asking if anyone had seen the Boston show earlier in the week. The common reply, "No way, I'm mad at phish. The Fleet Center, are you kidding! Why are they playing such big venues!" Most of these people still loved your music too. They loved IT, as did I. But they were not happy at all with the fall tour, and neither was I. Man, people remember Phish playing in the Portland Civic Center, the Portsmouth Music Hall, Bangor, hell I even think you guys played in Old Orchard Beach?! And, the few people that I did know that were able to get tickets to Boston were not even that big fans?! They just like you guys cause ya know your "phish". Listen, all i'm trying to say is: remember your roots. Don't forget Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, and other venues and places you guys played in the mid-90's. We still love you. We just want the old phish back. At "IT" i swear to god every singe person around me (up in the very front rows) were from New England. We wanna see you guys. Fuck Clear Channel too, if they're behind this at all.
