Hey, I read your feature about the upcoming band O-A-R in the current issue. I then downloaded the songs "Crazy Game of Poker" and "Revolution" and they both kick ass! I hope I can see them live and I recommend everybody download some of their music!

I just got done reading Dear Relix in the Feb/Mar issue. I just want to tell all those people who complain about your magazine to get a life. If they don't like what you print then they don't have to read. I enjoy your magazine very much from cover to back. I don't like the fact that Brad Kent is ripping on Les Claypool one bit; he is a fantastic musician. I hope you guys keep up the good work.

I just wanted to say thank you for the article you ran on .....of a revolution. I am glad that this hard working band got such a nice spotlight in your magazine. Despite how others in the jam band community feel, I am really excited to see them at Bonnaroo this year . I know that some members of the jam band community give them a bad rap because of the stereotype surrounding their fans but I think that your article showed how humble these guys really are. I urge anyone who is open minded about music to check out OAR sometime, maybe even at Bonnaroo. I know I will be there front and center! See you at the Roo,

I was sorely disappointed to read your review of Phish's "Round Room" in the Feb/March 2003 issue. You don't have to kiss the band's ass in every feature, to be sure, but the album deserves a more serious treatment than a collection of cutesy references to past songs and the standard, lame comparison to the Grateful Dead. It's an emotional recording, with some of the best lyrics I've ever heard from the band, and the depth should be reflected in the review, good or bad. I hope you can do better than this, although it seems the band may not share my optimism, since they gave their interviews about "Round Room" and the upcoming album to Rolling Stone. The jamband scene is up and running, and it needs some good writers to match Danny Clinch's intense and wonderful photography. The features on Ben Harper, Les Claypool and Dean Ween were great. Music for the mind, yes, and please give us more mindful reading that is educational and real. Thanks.
