Regarding the Hunter Thompson article: I was going to suggest that you give equal time to the right and do a feature article on PJ O'Rourke. But then I noticed that you have a picture of Bob Dole on the cover, and I felt better.

Northeast 04/01/03 Print E-mail

I have been a subscriber for about a year and have been patiently waiting for a feature on any of the bands that are part of a blossoming music scene in the Northeast. Aside from the occasional mention or cd review there has been no coverage of bands like Strangefolk, Reid Genauer and the Assembly of Dust or Percy Hill. From Strangefolk’s charitable work (Strangers Helping Strangers) or Garden of Eden festivals to Reid and AOD’s New Year’s Wilderness Retreat and Percy Hill’s reformation as a 13 piece band after two years of not touring there are certainly interesting stories to be explored. More coverage of the Northeast scene would be greatly appreciated by a growing community of music lovers.

Dear Editor, I just received my May issue of Relix and what a surprise, The Radiators have an article. I think this is number two in as many years and one of them was about half a page. The writer state that The Rads are the best band in the world and have been around for 25 years. If this is the case how come no cover photo? How come no feature? How come an artical about Tips as well? Come on people, let's give the boy's what they deserve, I believe they have earned it!

Deadheads in the military 03/31/03 Print E-mail

Monday, 31 March 2003
Dear Editor, The government has put a stop to unsolicited mail to people in the military for reasons of safety. My opinions on the war do not matter at this point, my concern is for the troops that are over there fighting. I looked on google for a list of people from our scene in the military. Packages and letters are still encouraged as long as you can send them to a specific solider. I cannot think of anywhere else to look. Relix has always been a great source of information for me.... there has always been a section for incarcerated Deadheads... can there be a new section for those in the military complete with addresses? I know it isn't much but I want to write some troops who are fighting in Iraq and it would be nice to have them be of like mind. Thanks for any help that you can provide!
