While I was thinking of ten, aotnher theme came to mind. For those F1000 who are from, working in, or have worked in the second largest country in the world, Happy Canada Day. And in keeping with the site I tried to relate each song to some aspect of science (yes, I know it is naff)i) When I’m Up Great Big Sea -those days when the experiments work just the way you wantii) Last Saskatchewan Pirate Arrogant Worms (my lab House Band’)iii) Try Honesty Billy Talent when you screw up a protocol, and try to blame it on the reagents?iv) If I Had a Rocket Launcher Bruce Cockburn those times when the reviewer clearly didn’t read your grant. At all.v) Ghosts that Haunt Me Crash Test Dummies that project you thought was stupid a year ago just got published in Nature. By someone else.vi) Too Bad Doug & The Slugs ibid.vii) Truck Got Stuck Corb Lund project just can’t seem to get to the point of producing usable dataviii) Hallelujah Leonard Cohen and then it does.ix) Long Time to Get Old Great Speckled Bird self explanatoryx) Sudbury Saturday Night Stompin’ Tom Connors there may be a better Canadian drinking song. But I don’t know one.
