Playlist Description:
The latest studio release from Anders Osborne is a six song EP entitled Three Free Amigos. Osborne cut the record in his homebase of New Orleans with a few combinations of players. Some songs feature his touring band with bassist Carl Dufrene and drummer Eric Bolivar while others feature such guests as Michael Burkhart (Hammond B3 organ), Johnny Sansone (harmonica and accordion), Billy Iuso (acoustic guitar) and Maggie Koerne (background vocals). Osborne even steps away from guitar to appear on bass and drums for a few songs. As he explains, the loose, improvisational nature of the sessions “is not what I usually do. I may never do it again. I wanted to keep it loose and give fans something different.”
Three Free Amigos is set for release on February 12 and the premieres today on Relix.com.
