Playlist Description:
Mike Watt’s newest trio is entitled il sogno del marinaio. The minutemen/fIREHOSE founder is collaborating with Italian musicians Stefano Pilia (guitar) and drummer Andrea Belfi (drums) in the group, whose name translates as “The sailor’s dream.” Their debut album, la busta gialla was recorded in the northern Italian town of Varano Borghi and will be released via Watt’s clenchedwrench label on January 29. Here is the premiere of the third song on the album, “The Tiger Princess.”
