Here’s the world premiere stream of Anders Osborne’s new album Black Eye Galaxy. The album, which is set for a May 1 release via Alligator Records was produced by Anders along with engineer Warren Riker and Galactic’s Stanton Moore. Osborne explains that Black Eye Galaxy is “about being on the other side of chaos and putting things back together.” The title reflects Osborne’s life as “a traveler, a musician, an immigrant, a recovering addict, and as a husband and father.”

Saw Anders last Friday here in SF at the Warfield. His recordings don’t do him justice – he is a freakin force of nature. Go see him live!

Saw Anders this weekend at the Sweetwater 420 Fest and he absolutely freaking dominated. Lean On Me/ Believe in You is so good when played live, he can really stretch it out. Wish I could be at Jazzfest.

This New Orleans native has been listening to Anders for over 20 years. “Black Eye Galaxy” is a great disc. So well done, Anders. Love the Crazy Horse strains and the quieter songs stand with your best.

I’ve got to say, not that I’ll ever live in Red Deer permanently again, but if I did, Anders would be top of the list of pleacs I’d want to live. My friend and I used to go walking around at night there and there were so many parks we enjoyed at night. Plus, it feels like a safe part of town too, which is a huge bonus.
