Gabe Dixon’s solo debut album, One Spark, will be released on August 23. Here is an exclusive premiere of the song “On A Day Just Like Today.” If you’d like to download the track, click here.

Here some insight into the track…

“On A Day Just Like Today” was one of the first songs composed for the album. It was co-written with fellow Nashville musician Trent Dabbs who Gabe had seen about town, or been on shows with Gabe, but they never really knew each other. One night both Gabe & Trent were sitting near each other at a Greg Laswell show in Nashville and Gabe casually suggested to Trent that “we should get together and write sometime.”

Lyrically, “On A Day Just Like Today” is broad, but purposefully so to allow the listener to bring their own story and their own needs to the song. The song is about seizing the day, and living to your full potential. When Gabe was writing it, he was envisioning talking to a friend, supporting them saying “I know you, and I’m rooting for you” – words of encouragement & empowerment.

Dixon and Dabbs will hit the road together in September as part of the Ten Out Of Tenn Tour.
