they thought of going to Pakistan after the camaers had gone, i.e. when interest in it had died down, much as they’ve done in Haiti, New Orleans and other disasters. Should have posted: I thought it was noteworthy that Angie said they thought of going to Pakistan after the camaers had gone, i.e. when MEDIA & PEOPLE’S interest in THE ISSUE had died down, much as IT [interest] DID in Haiti, New Orleans and other disasters. What I was trying to say is that I thought Angie was saying she & Brad could more effectively use their media-drawing power by visiting Pakistan once the media started ignoring the issue & it had disappeared from people’s radar, much as Haiti & Katrina did after awhile. Just by their being “Brangelina,” their very presence in Pakistan would bring media attention there again to highlight its plight. In the meantime, they’re consulting people in what way their donation could be best used, then they’ll make it.Angelina has done humanitarian work that hasn’t been publicized except by accident by someone else, e.g. she visited veterans at Walter Reed Veterans Hospital (I don’t know the exact name), talked with female/male patients, their families, hospital staff, took pictures, signed autographs & gave $1000 gift certificates to each family. The only reason some of the world found out was when a patient’s wife posted about it on her blog (including photos). She also visited unaccompanied refugee children in Arizona & provided the funding for an organization to help them.
