Video Premiere: Hamish Anderson “Trouble”

May 19, 2016

After two critically heralded EPs, Australian guitar player and vocalist Hamish Anderson will release a full-length recording in the fall. Anderson, who just wrapped up an East Coast run opening for The Rides (Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Barry Goldberg) will pick up the West Coast leg of the tour from June 1-5. The twenty-five year old musician, who toured with the late, great B.B. King in 2014 continues to win over new audiences with his crackling live shows. Today we premiere the official video for “Trouble,” his new single, which presents the actual recording session at PLYRZ Studios recording with producer Jim Scott (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Wilco, Tom Petty).

Anderson tells Relix, “Having the opportunity to work with Jim Scott was really inspiring. Jim works fast which I like to do as well. When we were recording, it was really about capturing the sound of the band playing live together in the room. And just letting the songs reveal themselves. This video captured the exact moment we started working on ‘Trouble,’ which was also the first day we recorded with Jim. It’s a driven song about that looming feeling that just won’t leave you alone.”
