Jack Johnson Enters Presidential Race Print E-mail

After headlining eco-friendly festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, All Points West and Outside Lands, Jack Johnson has decided to shift his focus from music to politics. Johnson will enter the political-arena as an independent candidate, for what promises to be the “greenest campaign of all time.” The Hawaiian-based singer/songwriter, who will fly between campaign stops  on his eco-friendly plane Brushfire 12, promises to offset his campaign carbon footprint by donating over $3,000 in wind credits between now and November. He also promises to play every festival “under the sun, until the sun stops melting the polar icecaps.” According to reports, Johnson is strongly considering choosing either Ben Harper or Michael Franti as his running mate.
