Guinness World Recordshas named eight-year-old Japanese guitar prodigy Yuto Miyazawa the world’s youngestprofessional guitar player. Miyazawa started playing guitar in Japan atthe age of three and quickly scored an international fanbase thanks to a seriesof clips on YouTube. He made his maiden voyage to New York in May when he sat in with the likes of Les Paul, Galacticand Moonalice and made surprise stops at clubs like the RockwoodMusic Hall and Rodeo Bar. Miyazawa’s most recent New York trip has been equallyexciting: Last week, Miyazawa performed with The Max Weinberg 7 on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, jammedwith Spin Doctors frontman Chris Barron at the Bitter End and headlined the Midtownvenue Rebel. He also performed with at members of Deep Banana Blackout at the13th annual Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, CT. Miyazawa playedin front of approximately 15,000 fans on the festival’s main performance space Friday evening,running through on point versions of OzzyOsbourne’s "Crazy Train" and “Mr. Crowley.” Miyazawa is also profiled in the July issue of Relix.
