Take this with however many shakers of salt you wish: Fox News is now reporting that the surviving members of the Grateful Dead will reunite for a Barack Obama benefit in October. The story asserts that Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzmann will be joined by Warren Haynes for a show that will take place in Pennsylvania on October 13. The report then suggests that the group quite possibly will tour in the summer of 2009. If such a show or shows take place, one can expect that some additional players will be drawn into the fold as well, including a keyboardist at the very least (with Jeff Chimenti and Steve Molitz likely candidates).
