Steve Earle recorded his latest album in New
York and named it Washington
Square Serenade, so it makes sense the singer/songwriter will play a series
of shows in the Empire
State this summer and
fall. On August 12, Earle will headline the Buffalo State Performing Arts
Center and on September 22-23 and 25-26, he will perform at New
York’s Judson
Memorial Church.
The unconventional venue, which is located on the southern tip of Washington Square Park,
also hosted a multi-night run by Arcade Fire in February, 2007. Next up, Earle
will perform at Tucson, AZ’s Rialto Theatre on June 27.
