Warren Haynes and Grace Potter will co-host the seventh Jammy Awards
at New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden on May 7. A four-time
Jammy Award Winner and seven-time Grammy Nominee, Haynes has appeared
at the Jammys a number of times over the years, performing with both
Gov’t Mule and the Allman Brothers Band. Potter took home the New
Groove Jammy in 2006 and performed with an eclectic cast that included
Joe Satriani, Steve Kimock, Jane's Addiction’s Stephen Perkins, Willy
Waldman and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey bassist Reed Mathis. Haynes and
Potter have performed together a handful of times recently, often
collaborating on lauded classic-rock covers.
Tickets for the Jammy Awards are on-sale now through www.jammys.com and
the Madison Square Garden box office. As previously reported, Phish
will take home the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2008 Jammys.
