The
Tibet House has confirmed that its 19th annual benefit concert will
take place on February 3. As in years past, the event will take place at New York’s famed
Carnegie Hall and boast an eclectic mix of indie and influential acts. This
year’s lineup will include event mainstays Philip Glass and Patti Smith, as
well as rising stars The National and Vampire Weekend. For this performance,
Smith will be joined by her daughter Jesse.
A
handful of others acts will be added to the event’s lineup in the coming weeks.
Past performers include Lou Reed, David Byrne, Michael Stipe, Trey Anastasio,
Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, the Black Keyes, Yo La Tengo, Ray Davies and Bright
Eyes, among many others.
