The Black Crowes have canceled a series of upcoming
performances. In a public message the group said, “We sincerely regret to
inform you that the following dates are being canceled due to a band member's
unexpected illness. Despite our best efforts, it is not possible to reschedule
the canceled shows at this time. However, we are working diligently to
reschedule these markets in early 2009. Fans are encouraged to obtain refunds
from their original place of purchase.”
The group’s recent cancellations include appearances in Mesa, AZ (9/16), Los Angeles (9/17, Santa Barbara
(9/19) and Santa Rosa, CA (9/21). The group will also bow out of
its September 20 appearance at San
Diego’s San Diego Street Scene festival. The Black
Crowes recent cancellations will also allow guitarist Luther Dickinson to prepare
for a late minute gig with his longtime band North Mississippi Allstars in Santa Cruz, CA
on September 27.
