The Allman Brothers Band has cancelled its upcoming Bonnaroo appearance. The seminal jamband recently postponed a number of spring shows while founding member Gregg Allman recovers from treatment for Hepatitis C. According to reports, Allman’s treatment has been successful so far and the virus has been eradicated from his system. As of press time, the group still plans to hit the road with RatDog this August.

“I’m getting better but I’m still tired,” Allman said in a statement. “I need to be at 110% to do the shows the way we do them. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support and understanding my Brothers and our fans have given me.”

Bonnaroo will confirm a replacement artist this Thursday. The Allman Brothers Band also plans to reschedule its run of shows at the Beacon for the fall of 2008.
