Hosting a variety of sporting events and concerts, New York’s Madison
Square
Garden
has earned the nickname of the “World’s Most Famous Arena.” Beginning Halloween night, the arena will air
a retrospective program titled The
50 Greatest Moments at Madison Square Garden. Airing each Thursday at 9PM EST on the MSG Network,
every segment will feature never-before-seen images and exclusive interviews,
covering the concerts, sporting events, political summits, circus acts and
special events which have graced MSG’s floor. While the arena remains mum on
which event will hit number one, a fan poll on the arena’s webpage nods to such
events as the premiere of The
Greatest Show on Earth, 2005’s Concert for Hurricane Katrina, the first
Wrestlemania, the first-ever WNBA All-Star Game, Mike Richter’s MVP award at the NHL All-Star Game, the first NY
Liberty game at MSG and Elvis sold-out 1972
performance. Perhaps the event will even nod to the Jammys, which has taken
place at the Theatre at Madison
Square
Garden
since 2004.
