Blues singer Susan Tedeschi will
release her next album, Back to the
River, on October 28. In addition to Tedeschi's solo band, Back to the River will feature
appearances by her husband Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II, a guitarist who
is also thought to be “a legend-in-the-making.”
Tedeschi is currently on tour
promoting her new album and raising support for Barack Obama. She recently
performed with Trucks and the other members of the Allman Brothers Band at a
high-profile Obama benefit in State
College, PA. Likewise,
she recently stood her own next to Trucks and Warren Haynes at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre,
when she sat in on both “I Ain't Superstitious” and “Don’t Think Twice.” Her
next solo tour is scheduled to kick off at Virginia Beach, VA’s
Sandler Center For The Performing Arts on November 6.
