Ryan Adams has played with an eclectic mix of musicians over
the years, ranging from Phil Lesh to Gillian Welch. But, the often
erratic musician’s next outing will throw him
into an entirely different musical realm:
Brit-pop. Adams and his band the Cardinals will play a few shows with
Oasis
this summer, beginning with an appearance at Seattle's WaMu Theater on
August 26. The gig
marks Oasis’ first live show in over two years. Adams will also open
for Oasis
at Vancouver, BC’s
GM Place
(8/27), Edmonton, AB’s
Rexall Place
(8/29) and Calgary,
AB’a Pengrowth Saddledome (8/30). While Adams and Oasis may feel a
world apart on
paper, Adams has covered Oasis’ “Wonderwall”
on several occasions. As previously reported, Adams will also appear at
Telluride,
CO’s Telluride Town Park
on June 19.
